Georges Adéagbo developped ideas for this work as early as spring 2001, and began to research, collect items and place commissions to local artisans in September 2001

The sculptor Eduard receives a dummy Adéagbo made of photocopies from related material of his library,

proportions and style is determined by the artisan

However, consistency for all four totems was stipulated by Adéagbo

It took about half a year to accomplish the set

Adéagbo works with the totems and illustration in the garden of his studio before releasing them for shipment.

Parallelly Adéagbo gives photocopies from his reference collection or images collected in Kassel, to Esprit, a sign board painter, who transforms them into illustrations.

Choice of colors and disposition of texts and images are left up to the painter.

Adéagbo tries out various constellations before having the paintings crated.
